Welcome to Ulvered!

Ulvereds Hjorthagn (Ulvered Deer Farm) is wonderfully situated in the Province of Halland in south-west Sweden. Surrounded by magic, fairy tale forests the farm welcomes visitors from far and near. Softly rolling hills, solitary trees as well as woods are the home of red deer and fallow deer. The farm consists of a restaurant, a farm shop, cottages to rent and conference facilities. lt is perfect for outings, conferences, delicious meals, shopping and overnight stays. Seated in the restaurant you may get a really close look at the animals, feeding almost next to the glass wall. Young deer, hinds and stags, often with very impressive antlers, move about gracefully. They are enclosed, but there is definitely a touch of the wild.

Nature trail
A walk along the nature trail with your guides from the deer farm will fill you with more enjoyable nature experiences and knowledge of this beautiful cultural landscape.

The Ulvered Restaurant
The restaurant is open every Sunday 13.00 – 17.00 l1 pm – 5 pm, in July and August Thursday – Sunday, offering meals with dishes mainly made from local produce – venison, other types of game, fish, mushrooms, vegetables and berries of the season. You will have the best view of the deer at 1 3.00/1 pm as this is their feeding time. Groups of 10 people or more are welcome to book the restaurant at other times for customized arrangements like weddings, birthday parties, business events.

The Farm Shop
The farm shop is open every Sunday 13.00 – 17.00 (1 pm – 5 pm), in July and August Thursday – Sunday. Here you can buy fresh as well as frozen meat produced on the farm, cold cuts, sausages and gifts among other things.

Conferences
lf you plan a conference venue out of the ordinary Ulvered is an excellent choice. The peace and quiet atmosphere is booth soothing and insprring. Why not mix fresh air and delicious food during your conferences with e.g. product presentations, discussions, team building or planning? Our conference rooms seats 12 or 50 people. Ulvered is easily accessible from the highway E6.

Accommodation
Ulvered’s accommodation is basic and charming. One of the cottages has three 2-bedded rooms, a sitting room, a dining room and a small kitchen. A 4-bedded room is found above the pub. Then there are 2 cottages with room tor 2 – 3 people/cottage. They have a fabulous view of the enclosure, where the deer graze on the oak hills. Toilet and shower in a separate building. Our story
An old forest farmstead from 1860 was part of the deal when we purchased a forest in Ulvered. lts scenic location gave us the idea of creating something completely new and different. Birger realized an old dream by establishing a deer farm and building a slaughterhouse on the premises. The result is Ulvereds Hjorthagn, a local, small-scale company selling venison and game, mainly to restaurants. Together with our dedicated staff we run Ulvereds Hjorthegn with great passion. Many of our guests arrive by car, but people come on foot or by bike as well! The visit will most certainly include wow experiences when it comes to animals, wildlife and food in unique surroundings. Experiences the guests will treasure in their hearts.
